With any luck,
you still have the journal or notebook you used in the first course
to record your takeaways, those bits of reflection we've been using to make sure
we retain and build on what we've learned. But even if you need to
start a new journal or notebook, you can still do the following
exercise, which is to write down your takeaways from at least two of
the concepts we've covered this week. One of those concepts
is from the readings. It's what we called Old Friends. The other is from
the video we just finished. It's called Architect of Time. So take a moment to write
down what each concept is and how you might apply it to
your next writing project. Then you'll get to hear a couple of my
students sharing their own thoughts, after which we'll cap off the week with two
segments that cover the more technical and tactical aspects of writing: Punctuation
and Professionalism and Notes on Nuance.
